About Rick Denzien
Founder, Drive The Future Consultants. Rick Denzien works at the crossroads of technology, music and environmental sustainability.
His company delivered full IT support to Fortune 500 teams and was an early ISP, pioneering online access with reliable remote assistance from anywhere. His engineering experience includes redesigning physical products for better safety, better design and lower cost, and his recording studio runs with full data and power backups.
Sustainability drives him: since 2016, solar has powered his home and business off-grid about 90% of the time, using silent, non-polluting systems. He completed Climate Reality Leadership Corps training in 2020 and was a finalist in Plug In America’s 2025 Drive Electric Awards.
He is also a music producer and recording artist. With Debra Lee he runs Zero Emission Musicians (ZEM) projects, blending music with climate action, and they have toured by EV.
Rick & Debra Lee Denzien
Drive The Future EV is Rick and Debra Lee Denzien. They have driven EVs from Philly to LA more than once, captain Ambler’s National Drive Electric Month EV show, and bring EVs to Earth Day festivals and expos around the region.
Through Zero Emission Musicians they took a Tesla Model 3 on tour (The Driven, 2019) and wrote about working on behalf of the planet (The Good Men Project).
Plug In America’s note to Rick: “Your dedication to the EV movement is inspiring, and we’re honored to recognize you among this year’s finalists.” See the 2025 finalists.
